MYLES, David Wendell Myles

Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Lynn Myles (née Walsh). Proud father of Andrea (deceased 2020), Dayna and Sean Myles, loving Papa to Quinnli and doting GrandDogPapa to Jasper.

He is survived by his siblings Karen McNeil (Frank Baltzer), Cliff Myles (Jane), Rick Myles and Laurie Myles, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.

David Wendell Myles will always be remembered for his easy-going, fun-loving spirit and positive energy. He was kind, caring, and considerate of others. He enjoyed his life, family and friends to the fullest, boating the Bruce Peninsula, drumming and dancing to his favourite music, playing competitive sports, and photographing his love of nature.

Dave was born in London, Ontario and developed a deep friendship with many dear friends who remained close through the years. He received a Bachelor of Engineering Science Degree from The University of Western in 1978 and upon graduation, started to work at Ontario Hydro. It is here that he met his loving wife, Lynn, of 42 years. After many years employed by Imperial Oil in Sarnia, the entrepreneurial gene he acquired from his father led him to working with his brothers Cliff and Rick with ESC Myles Inc., before starting Emcad Consulting Engineers. He was hard working, dedicated and honest with all his clients, earning him a legacy in the field. This carried forward through the acquisition of Emcad by Strik, Baldinelli, Moniz Ltd.

Dave’s favorite place was his cottage on Hardwick Cove Road. As a youngster, he would spend many summers there at his family cottage; countless days of swimming, fishing, water skiing, and simply being outdoors all day with his siblings and cottage friends. His love for the outdoors stayed with him as he married, had a family and then retired.

“Amazing” Dave will live on in the memories of all those who knew him, whether personally or professionally.

A private Celebration of Life has been arranged by the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in Dave’s memory.
