NASH , Evelyn Ann “Judy” Nash
August 17, 2025
Evelyn Ann “Judy” Nash has left this world to be with her Lord and Savior. We are all sad to say goodbye to Judy, beloved wife of Chuck Nash for 67 years, grandmother of Taylor Nash (Sam), Kaitlyn McManingwell, Alyssa Murray (Jonathon), and Jason Nash, mother of Kevin Nash (Andrea) and Kelly Nash (Roy). Sister of Jack Crawford (Alison, deceased), and sister-in-law of Patricia Davies.
Born in Toronto in 1939 to parents Evelyn (Brannigan) and Bill Crawford, Judy was sad to see her Dad and brother Jack move to Vancouver BC when she was quite young. Meeting Chuck in high school, they were sweethearts forever, joined through thick and thin for the next 70 years. Homes included Scarborough, Markham, Toronto, the beloved log cabin on top of the mountain in Thornbury, Collingwood, and Wasaga Beach.
Judy worked at Eatons in high school before pursuing a modeling career at Eleanor Fulcher Modeling Agency. Judy taught make-up to Girl Guides, modeling and fashion to women. With education from Shaw’s Business School, Judy worked in dental offices in Markham, and as a sales rep for Austin Sculptures. Mom introduced our family to skiing, for which Kevin’s family is especially grateful. Mom was also a strong supporter of Kelly’s passion for horses.
With her strong Christian faith, Judy was a very passionate prayer warrior. Judy has missed many great friends they shared in Florida and Ontario, especially after early retirement. Known for her quick wit and twisted sense of humor, usually dressed to the nines, Judy kept Eleven Joseph in Markham and Barb’s Clothes Closet in Stayner going! When not with friends at the pool, Judy enjoyed reading, crafts, a good game, and mostly time with family.
More recently Judy enjoyed spending time at Sunset Beach and Wasaga Beach, drawn to water, sunsets, and dogs — lots of dogs. Mother to Caesar, Shadow, Kane, Holly, Sassy, Sonshine, and grandma and great-grandma to many furry friends, we know Judy will have a wonderful party at the Rainbow Bridge, on her journey to her home with Jesus. Nothing would make her happier.
Our family extends tremendous thanks to the staff, doctors, nurses, and friends throughout Collingwood Healthcare teams, CGMH, and at Campbell House Hospice. Mom was so blessed for the care given during her final days at Campbell House Hospice.
Rest now Mom. No more pain. We are treasuring the great memories, and we will miss you, and know you are where you longed to be — with your Father God. Party on ladies – Rene, Marg, June, Joan, Shirley and so many others – Mom will be so happy to see you too.
Cremation has taken place, with a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
Donations in Judy’s name to the GTHS Georgian Triangle Humane Society or Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation would be appreciated.
