Nicholls, Paul Stephen (retired teacher with the Toronto District School Board), passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Predeceased by his parents, Isabel and Allan Nicholls. Loving brother of John (Beverly) and Elizabeth (Kevin Berry). Cherished uncle of Stephanie (Adé), Tom (Lisa), Joshua, Joseph, Adam, Andrew, Timothy, and their significant others. Great uncle of Tyler, Caleb, Owen, Griffin, and Colton. Paul will be remembered for his love of pets and the outdoors.

A special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit staff at Ross Memorial and the staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care.

Prayer for the Dead and Living
We give them back to you, O Lord, who first gave them to us, and as you did not lose them in the giving, so we do not lose them in return.
Not as the world gives do you give, O lover of souls! For what is yours is also ours, if we belong to you.
Life is unending because love is undying, and the boundaries of this mortal life are but a horizon, and a horizon is but the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, strong Son of God, that we may see further! Strengthen us in faith that we may see beyond the horizon! And while you prepare a place for us, as you have promised, prepare us also for that happy place, that where you are, we may be also, with those we have loved, forever.
