NICHOLSON, Grace Lillian Nicholson

Passed away peacefully at Victoria Manor on March 19, 2026.

Grace Lillian Nicholson was the daughter of Fred and Annie (Strath) Lamb of Beaverton where she and her 9 siblings were raised on the farm just south of Beaverton. After marrying Ron (Speaker) Nicholson (predeceased) they moved into their new home on Cameron St. west Cannington where they raised their 5 children. They were avid fans and very involved in Cannington Minor Hockey and the Cannington Volunteer Firefighter/ Auxiliary. Grace continued living in the house after Speaker passed away in 1992. After 64 years of living at 193 Cameron St. w Cannington, in November of 2020 she moved to Country Estates Retirement Home in Lindsay where she was well cared for 4 years . Her next move found her welcomed into Victoria Manor in Lindsay in Jan. 2025.

She is much loved and survived by her children Sherrin (Bill Lloyd), Brad (Kim LeClair), Tricia (Peter Staring), Lisa, Rob (Barb Thompson). Gram will be missed by Dana (Patrick Antonio & their daughter, Iyla), Aimee, Nicholas, Brooke, Hannah (Bryan Freve), Holly (and her daughter Valerie) & Mitchell. She was loved as Grandma Grace by Jessica and Ashleigh.

Auntie Grace will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Grace is survived by her sister, Carol Broughton. Predeceased by her siblings Carl Lamb, Mervin Lamb, Marjorie Taylor, Garnet Lamb, Rita Moffatt, Ted Lamb, Freda Miller & Eileen Parliament.

Arrangements are being held at Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton, Ontario on Tuesday March 24, 2026

Visitation 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment at Cedarvale cemetery following the service. Reception will be held at the

Cannington Legion Hall 72 Peace St. Cannington. If so desired, memorial donations can be made by cheque through Mangan Funeral Home to the Cannington Legion and would be appreciated by the family.
