It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister, Ruth Noble, after a brief illness. Ruth was predeceased by our parents, Victor and Mary Simonds, and leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer Houston, brothers David (Janice), Gary (Debbie), Russell (Elaine) and Donald (Gwen), nephews and nieces Kevin (Ashley), Lauren (Brian), John (Lorraine), Connor (Stephanie), Colin (Riley), Kristen, Grace (Nick), Andrew (Lee), Callum, Cameron, Brooke, Brynlee and Caden, and her precious dogs Rosie and Daisy.

Ruth Elaine Noble studied at Loyalist College and was very proud to become a registered nurse serving the communities of Belleville, Port Hope and Cobourg during her lengthy career. Instrumental in organizing gatherings of the Simonds clan, Ruth made a lasting impact on her loved ones and the friends and neighbours fortunate enough to know her. She will be with us in spirit and missed always.

The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Northumberland Hills Hospital for the special care and compassion shown to our sister, and to the neighbours who assisted Ruth in her time of need.

A graveside service will be held at the Heritage Cemetery of St. Peter on March 21st, 2026 at 12:00pm, followed by a private family celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation, and Northumberland Humane Society, would be welcomed by the family in Ruth’s name.
