It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Huguette at her home surrounded by Family on Thursday October 2nd, 2025 in her 84th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Roland “Red” Nolet. Cherished Mother of Randy (Soraya), Lynn (Marc) and the late Rene (1968). Special loving Grandma to Melanie and Yanick Cayouette and to Patrick and Charles Lauzon. Huey will be sadly missed by her siblings, sisters Carole (late Larry Beechey), Ginette (Russ); Brothers Ray (Linda), Serge (Gino), Roger (late Colleen). Pre-deceased by two Brothers, Robert and Colin Lacourse and her parents, Florida (Daigle) and Herve Lacourse. She will be fondly remembered for her great meals and snacks by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends both here and in Quebec. The family wish to thank Dr. Manser for her compassion as well as the palliative care team including her Nurse, Krystal, of the St. Elizabeth Nursing Agency and the many PSW’s of Care Partners. They would also like to thank the wonderful care of the nurses and doctors at the Walker Family Cancer Centre in St. Catharines. In keeping with Huey’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation and Celebration of Huguette’s life will take place at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne; at a date to still be determined. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Health Foundation for the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
