Peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, while at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, just shy of her 94th birthday. Norene Howes was the beloved wife of the late William (2016) and the loving mother of Dianne Davies (the late Glenn), Nancy Mitchell (Steven), Paul Howes (Brenda) and Tracey Vickers (Steven). She was the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region would be appreciated by the family.
