NUHN, James Hughie Graham Nuhn

Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Thursday January 29th, 2026, in his 93rd year.

Loving husband of the late Pearl Nuhn (nee Fuller) for 62 years. Father of Brian Nuhn (Catherine) of Lethbridge, Robert Nuhn of Williamsford, Gaylynn Nuhn (Darryl) of Walkerton, Michele Whitmore (Lewis) of Williamsford, and Tim Nuhn (Sherry) of Markdale. Also remembered by his 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Predeceased by his parents Flossie (nee Graham) and Louis Nuhn, his son Hugh Nuhn, his daughters-in-law Marylou and Linda, his granddaughter Rebecca Nuhn, and his step-grandson Tyler Whitmore, along with his 9 siblings.

Jim was a hardworking man, when he was only 23 years old (1956) he opened up Nuhns Auto on Highway 6 in Williamsford – a dream of his – which is still running as a family business present day. His business was his life, because of that he never fully retired. He spent many afternoons in the front office where he would visit with old and new customers and reminisce on old times. Spending time surrounded by family and friends was by far one of his favorite past times – equally as fond of his trips to the casino. Jim was one of those people where he left a lasting impression anywhere he went. He was always someone you could share a laugh with and sit and talk for hours.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at his property in the early summer, to remember and honor an incredible Dad, Husband, Grandfather, and Friend. Details will follow.
