It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Enrico Osso. He passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, with his family by his side.
Born in Paola, Cosenza, Italy, Enrico was the beloved husband of the late Delfina and the hardworking father to Marie (Emmanuel) and Franca (Steve). He will be forever remembered for his resilience and determination by his grandchildren: Stephen (Christina), Anthony (Erica), Robert (Jessica), Julianna, Stephanie, and great-grandson Baby Wyatt. He was a cherished brother and brother-in-law both here in Canada and in Italy.
Enrico was widely recognized for his incredible variety of tomatoes grown in his expansive garden, which he tirelessly maintained with great pride. He was also a remarkable Briscola and Scopa player, known for his ability to remember every card that had been played. His family fondly recalls gathering around the table during the holidays as Enrico skillfully and joyfully won every hand.
Enrico leaves behind a legacy of love, tenacity, and dry humor. His strength and determination contributed to his long and fulfilling life.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his PSW, Ashley, who worked tirelessly and selflessly to care for him until his final breath. Deep appreciation is also extended to Daniel, Ade, Dammy, Gloria, and Jude for their compassionate care.
