It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald “Geezer” Paquette on October 10th, at the age of 76, at Anson General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Geezer was known for his hard work, dry wit, and unique humour that could make anyone laugh. He spoke his mind with honesty and warmth, and his presence brought comfort and laughter to those around him.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Lola — his dream girl and partner in laughter. Cherished father of Shawn (Tusha Lee) and Kelly (Nelson), and stepfather to Sharlene, Chantale, and Rachelle (Doug). Proud grandfather of Shawna, Jazmine, Nathan, Erin-Gayle, Emily, Ethan, Candis, and Christopher, and proud great-grandfather whose love and steady spirit will live on through his family.
Lovingly remembered by his siblings Yvonne (Tim), Gerald (Debi), Helen (Edson, predeceased), Bernie (Edith), Cubby (Daphne), and Marilyn (Denis). Predeceased by his parents, Adelard and Bernadette Paquette.
A man of simple pleasures, Geezer was dependable, hardworking, and full of quiet love. His dry humour and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Anson General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30 am at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre, followed by a funeral service at 12pm (noon) at St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral. Remembrance donations made to St-Martyrs-Canadiens Church (masses) would be greatly appreciated
