It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Wayne Paquette, surrounded by his loved ones on April 16, 2025, at the age of 60. Wayne was a devoted partner, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Paula Young, his cherished children, Allison Paquette and Samantha Paquette, and five beautiful grandchildren, Ava, Mason, Bentley, Kylie, and Denver. He also leaves behind his best friend, Bruce Prendergast, and his loyal dog, Bandit.
Wayne enjoyed quality family time at the trailer and being out in the bush. He was known for his love of hunting and passion for his work. He cherished the camaraderie and friendship of the hunting gang; Bruce and Dale Prendergast, Steve, Doug, and Matthew Brash, Daryl and Shannon Leech, Chris Faught and especially his daughter Samantha.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Doreen Paquette, his stepfather, Frank Lisk, his brother, Arthur Paquette, and his nephew, Richard Brennan, and is survived by his sister, Sandra (Billy Brennan) and nephew, Jamie Brennan. He is also survived by his brother, Mike (Rikki) Paquette, his nieces, Gretchen and Gracie, and his sister Heather Paquette. Wayne was, and always will be, deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The University of Ottawa Heart Institute or The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences and donations can be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com.
