It is with heavy hearts we announce her peaceful passing at HDGH Hospice. She lived a long and happy life. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Predeceased by her husband Naranbhai Gopalji Patel (Tavdi, India, Wembley, England, Toronto/Windsor, Canada). Beloved mother to Babu (Sudha), Lili (Shantilal), Amrat (Kiran). Immensely proud grandmother of Rita (Nikunj), Jayesh, Smita (Jugal), Sangita ( Jatin), Anand (Caroline), Akshay, Ankit, Akash. Proud great-grandmother to Kalina, Kian, Saanvi, Siya, Anaya.
Shanti loved talking to friends and family, enjoyed reading and word puzzles. She is now reunited with her husband Naranbhai and her siblings.
Special thanks to staff (Kassandra Sauve, Brittany Dufour and Tigrena Domi) at Lifetimes on Riverside. Thank you also to Margaret and her staff at Nashelle’s In Home Care Services for around the clock care when needed. Appreciative of the care and support provided by Dr, Avi Wasserman from Windsor Regional Hospital, and the staff at HDGH for their support during mom’s final days.
Visitation and Prayers will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7236) on Tuesday August 4th 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Cremation services to follow at Windsor Crematorium (1100 Division Rd.)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or HDGH – Palliative Care Unit.
