Patricia Ann Fleming (Duggan)

October 14, 1940 – August 23, 2026

Memorial candle

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia on Sunday August 23, 2026, at the new Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg, at the age of 85. Patricia was born October 14, 1940, in Buffalo, New York.

Pat was the beloved mother of Geoff (Robin) Fleming and cherished and proud grandmother of Ayden (Olivia) and Kyla. She was the loving sister of Sandra Duggan, and the late Dan (Donna) Duggan. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Emma and Daniel Duggan, and her beloved son, Gregory Fleming.

After attending nursing school in both Buffalo and Peterborough, Patricia graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1962 and dedicated her career to caring for others, working in both Buffalo and Port Hope. During her time in Port Hope, she served as an ICU Charge Nurse, where she was respected for her leadership, expertise, and unwavering dedication to the care of her patients. She later continued her dedication to caring for others as a Pastoral Care Coordinator at Northumberland Hills Hospital, where she provided comfort, compassion, and support to patients and their families. Her deep commitment to her faith led her to earn a Master’s degree in Theology from The University of Toronto in 2011, further allowing her to serve the Catholic community she cherished as a beloved member of the St. Michael’s Cobourg congregation.

Beyond her career and faith, Pat treasured the simple joys of life—attending church, spending time with family and friends, and sharing in the lives of those she loved. She was someone who gave generously of herself, always offering kindness, compassion, and support to those around her. Those who knew Pat will remember her for her caring nature, feisty spirit, and unwavering dedication to the people and community she held close to her heart. She leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by her family, nieces, nephews, friends, and members of her church community.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held in Fort Erie, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Fort Erie, where she will be laid to rest with family.
