Patrick Kellachan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Kellachan, who passed away on September 21st, 2026, at the age of 82, with his best friend and love of his life, Theresa, by his side.

Born in Blantyre, Scotland, Patrick was one of five siblings. He is survived by his sister Cathleen, who cherished and spoiled him every opportunity she could. We take comfort in knowing he will be reunited with his older sister Margaret (John), his older brothers Daniel (Moira) and Jimmy, his brother-in-law Michael, and his nephew, Michael. Patrick was a beloved father to Jim (Susan), Paul (Sonia), Stephen (Keri), and Patricia (Chad), and a proud grandfather to Nolan, Liam, Shaun, Owen, Aidan, Phynn, Olivia and Pierce.

Patrick will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humour, love of soccer, passion for music, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Above all, Patrick took immense pride in his family, who were always at the heart of his life.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff of Bloomington Cove’s Garden Wing. Words cannot adequately express their appreciation for the compassion, exceptional care, and dignity shown to Patrick. A very special thank you to Dion, his primary caregiver, who consistently went above and beyond, treating Patrick with the same love and kindness she would extend to her own family.

Patrick’s warmth, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Patrick’s life for a Funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Parish, 70 Toronto Street N., Uxbridge on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11a.m. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada if desired.
