PEPPER, Donald Howard Pepper

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Donald Howard Pepper on May 23, 2026 at the age of 76, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will miss him every day.

He was a good, thoughtful man with an incredible sense of humour. He had a way of making people laugh, often when they needed it most, and his presence made those around him feel comfortable and cared for.

Gifted with both intelligence and talent, he seemed able to master anything he set his mind to. Whether he was working on cars, building something with his hands, solving a computer problem, or tackling a project others would’ve walked away from, he had a remarkable ability to figure things out. It often seemed that anything he touched turned to gold.

He loved animals and had a special softness for them that reflected the kindness in his heart. He was always willing to lend a hand, share his knowledge, or quietly help someone without expecting anything in return. He was strong, resilient, and determinedβ€”sometimes too strong for his own good.

Above all else, he was a beloved husband to Janet; father to Dana (Alasdair) and Rebecca (Brian); stepfather to Peggy (Billy Joe) and Donnie (Karen, predeceased); grandfather; brother to Pearl; uncle to Darcy, Dennis, and Joanne; and a cherished friend. The lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will remain with us forever.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the years we had with him and for the countless memories that will continue to bring us comfort. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and in all those whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.

He will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

In accordance with Don’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
