PEREIRA, Joseph Francis Pereira

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Pereira on Monday, July 6th, 2026, at the age of 60.

Joseph Francis Pereira was a devoted husband to Hemma for 34 years, a loving father to Megan and Stephen, and a cherished father-in-law to Charesma. He will be held dear in the hearts of his siblings John, Anna, Banu (Mary), Martin, Luzan, the late Meena (Asha), and Zanu (Johna), as well as his large extended family and the countless friends who loved him deeply.

Originally immigrating to Canada from Nandhakal, India, in his 20s, Joseph worked night and day to build a beautiful life for his family. He spent much of his career working proudly on the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company, while also utilizing his background in accounting and his keen passion for investing.

A true pillar of the community, Joseph dedicated himself to bringing people together, actively building and fostering a vibrant community of loved ones from Vasai. He was a devout Catholic whose faith guided his profoundly charitable and generous spirit. With a beautiful smile that could light up any room, Joseph had a unique, effortless gift for bringing joy to people of all ages and connecting deeply with everyone he met.

Joseph took great pride in his health and physique, often working out late at night after work. He embraced every moment of joy life had to offer—whether he was singing his heart out at karaoke, tending to his garden and beloved flowers, dancing, savoring good food, or enjoying peaceful walks. He had a profound love for travel and cherished the memories made while taking cruises around the world.

Joseph’s remarkable strength, generous heart, and radiant smile will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, joy, and community will live on in all who were lucky enough to know him.
