Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Bluewater Health, Cyril Thomas Phalen passed away at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Jill Phalen and the late Gloria. Loving father of Steven, the late Tim, the late Stephanie; father-in-law of Tracy; and stepfather of Stephen (Denise) and Julie. Treasured grandfather of Ryan, Steven, Blade, the late Krystle, and step grandfather of Bradley, Ashley, Sydney, Kyle, Eric, Kaitlyn, Jace, and the late Kenneth, and great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Lillian, Isobel, Glenda, Colleen, Fred, and the late Florence, Nora, Jean, Russell, Jack, Barry, and Elaine. Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cyril was a devoted man of faith, and lived a life guided by his spiritual beliefs. Growing up in a large family, Cyril was a family focused man. He was a self-taught musician who loved to play the fiddle and dance. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Bible Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
