Of St. Thomas, ON, age 79, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his residence on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Beloved husband of Marilyn (née Langs) Phillips. Dearly loved father of Lisa McNea (Corinne) and Troy McNea (Denise). Dear brother of Kathy (née Phillips) Neal (Mark).
Ken will be fondly remembered by his nephews; Josh Neal (Tammy) and Justin Neal (Stephanie), his great nephews; Brock, Chase, Ronin and Caine, by his in-laws; Mike and Cheryl Langs, Drucilla and Dave Paul, Doug and Lynn Langs, and the late Charles Langs (late Cindy), and by his special uncle, Rick Wilson. He leaves behind his beloved fur baby, Dexter.
Born in St. Thomas, ON, in 1946, he was the son of the late Taylor Phillips and the late Mary (née Wilson) Whyte. Ken formerly drove dump trucks for the County of Elgin and later worked for Allied Systems Canada, Windsor.
Cremation has taken place. Private interment in Elmdale Memorial Park will take place at a later date. Flowers respectfully declined. In keeping with Ken’s love for animals, memorial donations to the City of St. Thomas re: New Animal Shelter will be gratefully acknowledged.
