PINNEY, Kathaleen Viola Pinney

Passed away peacefully at Victoria Manor on December 8, 2025, in Lindsay, Ontario, at the remarkable age of 99.

Born on May 18, 1926, in Lindsay, Ontario, Kay spent nearly a century rooted in the community where her life began. Over the years, she witnessed and embraced profound changes in the world around her while remaining a steady and loving presence for those fortunate enough to know her.

Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alan Karl Pinney, who passed away in 1997. Together they built a life centered on family and shared values.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through her three sons: Bruce (Dagmar), Gary (Susan), and Bryan (Steacy). Her family continued to grow with six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and most recently, one great-great-granddaughter—a milestone that brought her immense joy and pride. Kay was deeply cherished as a grandmother and took great delight in watching each new generation flourish. Sadly she mourned the loss of her grandson Scott in 2022.

An avid golfer throughout much of her life, Kay found joy on the fairways and greens. Her passion for travel took her far from home to destinations such as Hawaii and various parts of Europe—experiences that enriched her life with adventure and discovery.

Kay’s warmth and enduring spirit touched all who knew her. Her role as a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother was one she embraced wholeheartedly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she held dear.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
