POIRIER, Shirley Jean Poirier

Passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the age of 84. Shirley Jean Poirier was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family. Survived by her beloved husband Henry Poirier of 50 wonderful years. Loving mother of Bill, Mike, Paul, Sue and Jean (Andrew); grandmother of Ashleigh (Kyle), Alex, Dominic, Riley, Cassidy, Connor, Kurtis, Luke and great grandmother of Beau, Axel and Jaxon. Survived by her sisters Marilyn, Nancy (Al) and Wendy (Tom). Shirley will be fondly remembered by special family friends Connie, MaryAnne and Jennifer as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Lyle and Dorothy (nee Hines) Patterson.

The family will receive friends at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin St. St. Thomas, (519-631-0570) on Friday, May 1st, 2026 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 502 Talbot St. St. Thomas, on Saturday at 10am. Interment in Holy Angels Cemetery. A reception to follow at Shawn Jackson Funeral Home.
