
Sarah Frances Pomerantz (née Dubrovsky) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in her ninety-ninth year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (Joe) Pomerantz for sixty-eight years.
Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Lonny and Linda, Richard (Dick) and Bobbie, and Joanne Pomerantz Kroll. Cherished Nana of Lexi and Liam, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Dear sister and sister-in-law of Earl and Faygie Dubrovsky, Lorna and the late Jack Stroll, the late Charlotte and the late Morton Walfish, the late Reuben and Sylvia Dubrovsky, and sister-in-law of the late Ray and Louis Brown, Edith and Harold Cohen, Rose and David Comm, Phil and Ida Pomerantz, Lorraine and the late Morris Pomerantz, Betty and Herb Lindenbaum, Ben Pomerantz, and Saul and Alice Pomerantz.
Adored by her many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. With heartfelt gratitude to her incredible caregivers Elsa, Vangie, Yolly, Marlene, Joan, Claroline, and Nikki for their unconditional love, and to Dr. Maral Koolian and the team at the Jewish General Hospital.
Special appreciation goes to Rita, Wendy, Marlyn, and her angelic caregivers for their unwavering support. Sarah will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at the Shevet Achim Congregation section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 6100 chemin Deacon – reception room – Tuesday following burial until 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with services at 7:30 p.m.
