POTTER, Kim Potter

It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Kim Potter at Oak Ridges Hospice on August 8th 2026. She leaves behind her loving husband, Lorne. She is also survived by her treasured sons Spencer, (Helaina), their children Adalynn, Leon, Tanner, (Jennifer), their children Ellie, Violet. Who all brought the biggest smiles to her face. She leaves behind her mother, Lynda, and is predeceased by her father, Douglas, whom she loved dearly and carried close in her heart throughout her life. She is also survived by her brother, Dean, (Darlene), and their daughter Brooklyn, all of whom loved her deeply and will forever hold her close in their hearts

She held a special place in her heart for Lorraine and the entire Potter family, loving them deeply and cherishing the closeness they shared. She adored her nieces and nephews, celebrating every milestone and moment with them. She is remembered with love by Colleen, whose friendship meant so much to her.

Throughout her illness, Kim faced every challenge with remarkable grace and an unwavering sense of humour. She had a beautiful ability to turn even a hospital visit into a social occasion, something her care team at Sunnybrook came to genuinely look forward to. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her doctors at Sunnybrook and Princess Margaret Hospitals, and offer special gratitude to Dr. Jennifer Willson, who went above and beyond in her care for Kim.

Kim had a gentle heart and a creative spirit. She obsessed over pigs and loved flowers, the simple beauty of a well‑tended garden. Her home and yard were always filled with colour, life, and the things she nurtured with care.

Gifted with her hands, she was a natural crafter who knitted, sewed, and created with a humble imagination. She had a special fondness for crystals, drawn to their beauty and meaning, and surrounded herself with pieces that brought her comfort and joy. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, her creativity, and the way she poured love into everything she touched. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friendships, and the many handmade treasures and memories she leaves behind.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook or Oak Ridges Hospice, Port Perry,  would be appreciated by the family. For online condolences, please visit www.lowandlow.ca
