PRITCHARD, Darren Eugene Pritchard
November 8, 1976 - July 8, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darren Eugene Pritchard, who tragically lost his life on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, as the result of a workplace accident.
Darren will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his daughters, Kylie (Wes) and Reece (Dylan) Pritchard; his parents, Carolyn and Eugene Pritchard; his sister, Casey Dryden; his four beloved grandchildren, Drayden, Kataleyna, Zavier and Amy.Β Also remembered by his Gramma Ruth Pritchard (late John), step-gramma Marion Snider-Green, nephews Ty, Abel and Reilly Dryden and by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends whose lives he touched.Β Predeceased by his Grandparents Willard and Muriel Green and Neice Alyssa Dryden.
Some of Darren’s happiest memories were made at his family’s cottage on Christian Island, a place that has been home to five generations of the Pritchard family. It was his home away from home – a place where he found freedom and happiness, that he loved sharing with his parents, daughters and grandchildren. Together, they spent countless summers boating, swimming, gathering around campfires, and making memories that will continue to live on for generations.
Darren was a true free spirit who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a strong spiritual belief and leaned on the words of Psalm 23.Β He was an avid Leafβs fan and his favourite food was chocolate.Β Whether he was riding his dirt bike or ATV, off-roading, snowmobiling, boating, swimming, or relaxing around a campfire, he was happiest outdoors. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially dogs and shared his love of nature and the outdoors with his family and friends every chance he got, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Known for his sense of humour, his straightforward nature, and his easygoing personality, Darren valued life and everything it had to offer-good friends, a good debate, fresh air, and a cold beer. He was always willing to lend a hand, and happiest making memories with the people he cared about.
The bond he shared with his daughters, the love he had for his grandchildren, and the friendships he built over the years were among the greatest joys of his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Darren’s free spirit, infectious laughter, and love for the outdoors will continue to live on through the stories we share and the memories we hold close
