Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in her 74th year. Reunited with her beloved husband, John Punter. Loving mother of John Jr. (Nancy), Rob (Li-Anne), and Steven (Shelly). Cherished and proud Oma of Jamie-Lee, Taylor, Krista, Morgan, Merissa, and Breanna.
Dear sister of Betty-Lynn Walker, Sandra Norman, and Frank Norman (Sandra). Alice was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Doris Norman; her brother, Walter Norman; and her sisters, Clara Olmstead and Kathy Norman.
Alice Eleanor Doris Punter dedicated more than 30 years to Canada Post, delivering rural route mail throughout Paris. Her daily rounds were about far more than mail delivery — she genuinely valued the conversations, friendships, and laughter she shared with the many people along her route. Alice also played an instrumental role alongside her late husband John in building the family business, Bond Fence.
A lifelong lover of horses, Alice was a proud member of the Arabian Horse Association of Eastern Canada.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bernadette McNeil and the entire Stedman Hospice Palliative Care Outreach Team for the compassionate care and comfort provided to Alice during her final days. Special thanks are also extended to PSW Rozina for her exceptional kindness, dedication, and care that truly went above and beyond. Alice found great comfort in being surrounded by her loving family in her final hours.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home Ltd. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held in the Paris Cemetery. In memory of Alice, donations to Stedman Community Hospice or the Brant County SPCA would be appreciated by her family.
