ANDERSON, Raymond Clarence “Ray” Anderson

Passed away peacefully, in his 93rd year, after a short illness, on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, with his family by his side.

Son of the late Clarence and Eldred Anderson, Ray was born on the family farm in Terra Cotta.

Ray was the beloved husband of Norma for 63 years; and the loving father of Susan and David (Brian).

Beloved brother of the late Don (Marlene), Betty Jean Carberry (Clare), and David (Joyce). Dear uncle of Caron (Mark), Kevin (Michelle), Janet, Glenn, Brad (Annalee), Bob and Julie.

Ray completed his B.Sc. in Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 1959 and was a pharmacist for 38 years serving in Brampton, Georgetown and Milton.

He enjoyed the cottage, music, theatre, travelling and being a handyman, “Mr. Fix It.” Ray will be forever remembered by his family for his caring, positive and even-tempered personality and his wonderful sense of humor.

Friends and family will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Wednesday, January 10th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 11th, at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Interment, Norval.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
