READMAN, Charles Wayne Readman

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Charles Wayne Readman, in his 78th year, on May 9, 2026. Wayne leaves behind his wife of almost 54 years, Susan (nee Upton); his sons Justin and Matthew; son-in-law Ron McLester Jr.; and his beloved grandchildren Lily and Charlie. He will be deeply missed by his sister Debbie (nee Readman) and her husband Angelo Mattina; sisters-in-law Cathi (Barry O’Keefe) and Barbara (Bob Trebilcock); as well as many cousins and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Agnes (nee Turnbull) and Charles Willis Readman.

Born and raised in Hamilton, Wayne was a graduate of Hill Park Secondary School and Mohawk College. He spent his career in retail management and enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, and golf. A lifelong Montréal Canadiens fan, Wayne also enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends.

Wayne and Sue retired to Port Rowan about 15 years ago, where they embraced the community and friendships they found there. In retirement, Wayne loved creating music playlists for the Villages of Long Point Bay community.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at the Villages of Long Point Bay Clubhouse (26 Long Point Boulevard) on Saturday May 30, 2026 between noon and 3 p.m. A light lunch will be provided.
