RIBEIRO, Lauriana Ribeiro
June 29, 1935 - June 10, 2026It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt faith in Godβs eternal promise that we announce the passing of Lauriana Ribeiro, a devotedΒ mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, who was called to restΒ peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 90.
Born in Madelena, Azores, Portugal, Lauriana carried theΒ strength, humility, and rich traditions of her homeland throughoutΒ her life. A woman of unwavering faith, she was devoted to theΒ Catholic Church and found great comfort and purpose in prayer,Β the Holy Rosary, and the celebration of the Sacraments. Her lifeΒ was a testament to quiet devotion, kindness, and steadfast loveΒ for her family and community.
Lauriana was known for her gentle spirit, warm hospitality, andΒ tireless dedication to her loved ones. Her home was alwaysΒ open, often filled with the comforting aromas of traditionalΒ Portuguese cooking and cherished stories from the past. SheΒ instilled in her family the values of respect, faith, andΒ perseverance.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eduino Ribeiro, and is lovingly remembered byΒ her children, Antonio (Isabel), Eduino (Judith), Carlos (Maria), Norman (Isabel) her cherishedΒ grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Jennifer, Jayson, Julia (Brian), Daniel and Liliana, andΒ extended family and friends both in Canada and Azores. Each carries forward her legacy of faith,Β love, and resilience.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Lauriana has been welcomed into the arms of Our LordΒ and reunited with those who haveΒ gone before her. Her life reminds us of the beauty of simpleΒ devotion and the strength found in faith.
Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on June 15, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. β 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at San Salvador Do Mundo Church 1212 Melton Drive,Β Mississauga on Tuesday June 16 at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
