It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Florida Richard at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the age of 84 years.

Florida Richard will be sadly missed by her children Rose, Ray (Chris), Carol (late Marcel), Joanne (Alain) and Johnny (Cindy) and by her 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and her nephew Jack and his son Landon, whom she loved dearly. Also survived by 9 brothers and 8 sisters. Florida was predeceased by her husband Robert, son Laurent, daughter Claudette, grandsons Robert, Noah and Alexander, parents Albert & Lidia Leclair and brothers Adolbert and Fernand.

She was a big time Elvis Presley fan. She loved to bake, sing French songs, and rock in her chair with a rum and coke. She enjoyed her girls’ nights and was passionate about Bingo. She was not only our mom but also our best friend. Mom, you will always have a special place in all our hearts. We will never forget you. Love you always!

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses that took great care of her on Medical B, especially Ed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
