We are sad to announce the passing of Marc Richard on the afternoon of August 15th, 2025.
Marc was the loving son of Sharon & (Leo), the brother of Nicole and Jawn & Heidi (spouse), the uncle of Branden, the beloved grandson of Clint & Elsie Plourde (predeceased) and Rene & Georgette Richard (predeceased), and the valuable friend of Marc Gilbert & Carole (spouse) and many others in Matachewan, where he loved and cherished the land of our Ancient Ancestors.
Also left to mourn are his Aunt Diane Rae (Brian), Aunt Roseanne Duguay (Claude), Uncle Yvon and Jocelyn Richard, Uncle David and Lynn Plourde, Aunt Merry Deveau (Gaston) and all his cousins that he beat to meet our Creator.
A successful hunter and angler, he enjoyed playing cards and buying and selling used goods at his swamp shop. Marc was a proud Ojibway who enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and on the lakes and rivers. Although he will be missed as a provider for the elders and his family, the moose and pickerel are much safer now.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
