RICHARDS, Mervyn John Richards

Beloved husband of Betty Lou Richards, he was born in Brisbane, Australia on May 7th, 1924, and was the elder child of Luther and Ellen Richards (Mc. Keown). He served on active service in the Pacific area as an anti-submarine officer for the Royal Australian Navy from December 1942 during the Second World War. Post war, Mervyn completed a degree in dentistry at the University of Queensland and practiced in Toogoolawah and Brisbane, Queensland, and Toronto, Ontario.

He is survived by his four children, John Richards (Jane), Glynis Gilman (Michael), Ian Richards, and Janette Richards-Handyside (James). Step-children, Darlene Boucher (Philip), Nancy Cook (Charles), and Kevin Cook (Sandy). Grandchildren, Lucie Richards (Christopher), Ian Richards (Ayako), Kathryn Richards (Matthew), Keith Richards (Laura), and Amy Richards (Christopher). Step-grandchildren, Ashlyn (Brady), Suzanne (Michael), Noah, Sophie, and Oliver. Great-grand children, Mio, Haru, Ada, Sylvia, Jackson, Alaina, Bentley, Audrey, Evelyn, and Layla. Sorely missed by all.
