The family of Bob Tumey is saddened to announce the passing of Bob on Thursday August 27, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, one month before his 98th birthday.
Beloved husband of the late Mary-Grace (née Austin) and the late Viena Whalley (née Tuomisto). Loving father of Janice Pursiainen (Raymond) of Coldwater and Peter Tumey (Mary-Lynn) of Oshawa. Dear grandfather of David, Michael, Caitlin (Derek) and Laura and great-grandfather of Charlotte and Remi.
Step-father and grandfather to Eva Gainer (Jonathan), Leah Somers (Jack) and Lisa Talvak (Bill) and their families.
A funeral service for Robert John Tumey will be held on Thursday September 3, 2026 at 2 pm at McIntosh-Anderson-Kellam Funeral Home Ltd, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) with visitation from 1 – 2 pm. Cremation to follow.
The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the staff of Emergency and staff of 4F at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their professional and comforting care.
