Roberts: Lorna Doreen (née Box) – A resident of Ridgetown, Lorna Roberts passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on June 11, 2025, at the age of 97.
Born in Parkhill, Ontario, Lorna was the daughter of Cecil and Lena Stoner. She was the beloved wife of 24 years to Thomas Roberts and 27 years to Clayton Reid.
Survived by William & Elizabeth Reid of Ridgetown, Mary Dadd of Ridgetown, and Bob & Dorothy (2022) Spears. Cherished Gramma to Tammy, Chantelle & Vicki, Daniel, Matthew, and Clayton. She was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Lorna had a lifelong gift for knitting and sewing with remarkable skill. She loved quiet afternoons watching television or reading. Even in her 70s, she delighted in travel, having visited Texas, Florida, and Calgary. Her dream was to see Hawaii, but any trip with family was treasured.
A Funeral Visitation for Lorna will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Lorna to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
