ROBINSON, Joan Robinson

Peacefully passed away on February 8, 2026 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of Art, with whom she shared over 62 wonderful years of marriage. Loving mother of Timothy and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Jillian, T.J., Lucas, Cassidy, Jacob, and Sierra and great-grandmother of Cara, Bradley, Charlotte, Kohen, Ariella, and Aryana. Dear sister of Patricia, Victor, and Harold. Predeceased by her parents Harry & Ethel Young and by her siblings Margaret, Loreen, Doug, Earl, Truman, and Robert.

A true family woman, she found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She was an amazing mother and a cherished grandmother, always present, always supportive, and endlessly proud of her family. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

Alongside her husband, she helped run the family scrapyard, playing an important role in the day-to-day operations and supporting the family business with dedication and determination. Later, together they embraced a new and exciting chapter when they purchased Westgate Speedway-an adventure that reflected their shared spirit, teamwork, and love of community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home (124 King St. E., Oshawa). A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Thornton Cemetery for those who wish to attend.
