ROSE, Mary Lee Rose

She passed away peacefully with her family and pastor by her side at Heart of Hastings Hospice on Saturday, June 6. 2026, in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband of 25 years Gordon Rose. Loving mother to Robert and Beth Sasser of Nevada USA and step mom to the late Randy Rose and forever missed by her step daughter Tina Rose (Rick Lupiccini). Dearly loved and missed by her grandchildren especially Norah, Zoah and Eli Booth and their father Aaron Booth.

Mary Lee Rose was adopted and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida in Greek town by Clara Lopez nee: Studsteel and Chi Chi Lopez. She had very fond memories of that time being raised along side her sister Margorie Hamilton and brother John Sagonia.

Mary Lee will be missed by her many friends and for her compassionate work for many years with the Red Cross as a PSW. She will be remembered for her humor and sass and for her unwavering Faith. Being raised as a devout southern lady she used the word of God to guide her life and continued to spread Gods love till her last breath. It brings her family great peace to know she has finally gone home to Jesus.

Mary Lee’s family would like to thank the staff at Belmont LTC for their loving care in particular Raymond who could always make her smile and recreational staff for helping her find a love of bingo. Mary’s family would also most importantly thank Heart of Hastings Hospice for the compassionate wonderful end of life care she received and request donations in her memory to go to support the Hospice with a big heart! A Celebration of life will be held at the Madoc Pentecostal Church on Saturday, July 4th at 11:00 am.
