ROSE, Roy Douglas Rose

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy Douglas Rose, affectionately known to his many friends as “Rosey.” Born on August 8, 1942, Roy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by his family, at the age of 83.

Roy will be deeply missed by his partner, Shirley Fisher; his children Jason Rose (Denise) and Theresa Rose-Klyn (Jason); and his beloved granddaughter Jessica Klyn. He is also survived by his brothers Don (Barb), Larry (Barb), and Ken (Carol), and his sister Linda (Neil).

Roy was predeceased by his parents, George and Madeline Rose, his brother Stephen Rose, and his sister Marie Pulfer, who welcomed him home with open arms.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Roy found peace and joy in nature. He was an avid fisherman, a lifelong gardener with a green thumb, and an animal lover who had a soft spot for every pet or stray that crossed his path. Roy loved spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and his easygoing spirit. His warmth, humour, and kindness touched everyone who knew him.

Roy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Army, Navy & Airforce Veterans Club, 765 Third St, Mississauga, ON L5E 1B8, at a later date
