A resident of Chatham, Jim Ross passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on August 17, 2026 at the age of 75.
Born in Chatham, Jim was son of the late Richard and Olga (née Zemnicky) Ross.
Survived by Brother, Gary (Karen) Ross of Dover Township.

Fondly remembered by many friends, both farming and coffee mates at McDonalds and Tim Hortons.

James David Ross was a loyal, compassionate, hard-working farmer, with the best sense of humour. He farmed all his life in Dover Township with his brother Gary and he was very proud of their adoption to reduced tillage practices on the farm. There are many fond memories for his nephews, early mornings pea harvests, 6 a.m., hockey practices with Brian and Bill, summer vacations with grandma and the homemade trophy for carport ball hockey.
Jim had a passion for tractor pulls, drag races, walks on the beach and dog walks in the field.
