It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Diane Rouillier, on April 28, 2025 at 89 years of age,
surrounded by family at Royal Rose Place in Welland. She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Rouillier, for 68 beautiful years.
Diane was a cherished mother to Marcel Rouillier (Manon), the late Suzanne Lockhart (Robert), Linda Poirier (René), and Lise Learn (Edward).
She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her joy and pride.
Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Clara (née Maurice) Therrien; her siblings Roger, Claude; granddaughter Tyra Learn;
and great-grandchildren Hope Chalmers and Spencer Poirier.
She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Gilles Therrien, Jean-Guy Therrien, Sr. Lise Therrien (FDLS), and Sr. Isabelle Therrien (SSCI),
as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends — especially Gisèle Champagne.
Diane was a beacon of warmth and love, a selfless mother and grandmother who prioritized family and created a home filled with joy and togetherness.
She loved hosting reunions and created lasting memories at the cottage on Cordova Lake, especially in her beloved bunkie.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Royal Rose for their compassionate care over the years, and to Meagan, Parth, Jennifer, Ryan,
David, Jill, Phil, Sean, and all Robinson floor staff.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre,
827 East Main St., Welland on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with visitation from 9:30–10:00 a.m. and a chapel service at 10:00 a.m.
Interment of ashes for Maurice and Diane will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory to a charity of your choice would be deeply appreciated by the family.
