ROURKE, Harold Rourke

Passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan on October 12, 1933, Harold Manley Rourke of Owen Sound, was in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband and best friend of Joyce Rourke (nee Rathwell). Proud father of Bob Rourke of Iron Bridge, and Rhonda Livingston of Owen Sound, and treasured grandfather of Tory. Dear brother of Ken Rourke (Marion) of Owen Sound, Bill Rourke of Peterborough, and Wilma Walsh of Owen Sound, and brother-in-law of Betty McClure (Charlie) of Owen Sound, and Muriel Kowal (Ed) of Caledon. Harold will also be lovingly remembered by his son-in-law Paul, his nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Predeceased by his parents Manley and Mildred Rourke, his siblings-in-law Bev Rathwell (Dorothy), and Marion Armstrong (Brian).

Harold’s presence will be dearly missed by his grandpets Duke, Rosie, and Willie Nelson as he is reunited with his pets Heidi, Rolo, and all the other animals across the rainbow bridge.

Harold’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the EMS First Responders, Owen Sound Hospital staff, and to the staff at Seasons Retirement Home for going above and beyond to provide the best care possible for Harold.

A visitation will be held at Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W. Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Friday. July 17, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. A private memorial service will be held at a later time with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating.
