ROWAN, Shari Lee Rowan

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Shari Rowan (nee McColl) at home on June 21, 2025 at the age of 54. Cherished wife of Dan for nearly 33 years. Beloved daughter of Ray and Joyce McColl. Devoted mom to Laura (Malachi), Becky (Cody) and Luke. Adored Gramma to little James. Shari will be missed dearly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends and neighbours.

Shari was ambitious in all she did, from academics through to a fulfilling career as an Actuary, as a young athlete in hockey and waterskiing, but most of all in how she loved her family and friends. She cherished family dinners together and always made home somewhere we wanted to come back to. She was always there for whoever needed her at the drop of a hat. Her infectious laugh will be so dearly missed. She was so thrilled to welcome little James to our family and proudly loved being his Gramma. She will be so missed in the years to come, but has poured so much love into each of us that we will carry with us as we honour her memory.

A come-and-go celebration of Shari’s life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 1 to 6 pm at Garnet B Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville (2440 Highway 2). Please park and enter using the west entrance.
