RYAN, Daniel John Ryan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel John Ryan at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on February 7, 2026.

Surrounded by his family, Dan passed peacefully with his loving wife, Gloria (Tully) and his children by his side. He was a devoted father to Mark (Elsy), Jonathan (Lauren), and Patrick (Naomi), and a proud Papa to Madison, Matteo, Shay, and Emilia.

Dan was the beloved brother of Bob Ryan (Viki) and is survived by his father, William J. Ryan. He was predeceased by his mother, Denise Ryan. Dan will be warmly remembered by his brother-in-law, Don Tully (Paula) and his sister-in-law, Jean Rendell (Chuck). He will be cherished by his nieces and nephews.

Dan will be fondly remembered by his large community of friends and colleagues. He will be celebrated for the decades of memories and countless kilometres he shared with friends on his motorcycle and through many adventures.

Memorial contributions in Dan’s name may be made to the Humane Society of Durham or the SickKids Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
