Passed away at Caressant Care Cobden on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in her 95th year.
Daughter of the late Ernest & Antonia Saar (nee Woermke). Dear sister of Wayne Saar (Judi) & Faye Saar. Predeceased by siblings Keith Saar (Rose), Erna Thurston (late Gerald), Ernest Saar (late Helen), Norman Saar (late Carol) and Lois Phanenhour (late Glen). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 357 Miller St., Pembroke on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Livestream of the service available using this link. Spring interment of ashes in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. followed by fellowship and refreshments in Christ Lutheran Church Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lutheran Hour, St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
