It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Sarah Catherine in her 85th year, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Etobicoke General Hospital.

Sarah was born in Christmas Island, C.B., Nova Scotia, the second daughter of the late Ambrose and Mary (nee Delorey) of Christmas Island, N.S.

Sarah is survived by her sister, Mary Clarkin (Wilfred, deceased), North Wiltshire, PEI, and Elizabeth “Betty” (Leon, deceased), Toronto.

Dear aunt of her nephews, Patrick, Alan and Philip Clarkin of New Wiltshire, PEI and her niece, Tracy Lampron, of Windsor, Ontario; Numerous grandnieces and grandnephews, four great-grandnieces and grandnephews and numerous cousins and relatives.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her eldest sister, Teresa and her youngest sister, Margaret and brother, Kenneth, who recently passed.

Sarah was happiest in the outdoors. She loved gardening, planting potatoes, tomatoes, beans and rhubarb and growing her flowers. She also shared her ‘green’ thumb and overall skills in helping family members on beautifying flower gardens often in the company of two Old English Sheepdog helpers.

All her life it was Sarah who was ‘there’ to help family and friends on whatever help was needed. She had a natural ability to provide the skill needed, thus, her reputation put her on the ‘call Sarah’ list.

The family thanks the staff of Etobicoke General Hospital for the care extended to Sarah.

Cremation has taken place and interment will be made at a later date.
