SAUCIER, Daniel Pierre Saucier
March 9, 1959 - June 13, 2026
Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario, on June 13, 2026, following a courageous three-month battle with an aggressive form of lung cancer. Born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, on March 9, 1959, Dan left this world far too soon in his 68th year.
Beloved and devoted husband of 38 years to Susan. Cherished father of Ethan (Nermina) and Nicole (Zack). Proud and loving Papa to Matthew and Everley, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Dear brother of Lloyd Saucier (Alice) and Debra MacDonald (Richard LaPointe). Loved brother-in-law of Ron Casson (Phyllis) and the late Jack Casson. Daniel Pierre Saucier will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues, and many friends.
Family was at the centre of Dan’s life. His commitment to Susan and their children was unwavering. As a father, he loved deeply and took great pride in the accomplishments and successes of Ethan and Nicole. He led by example, demonstrating integrity, kindness, and dedication in all that he did. Though his time as a grandfather was far too brief, Dan embraced the role of Papa with boundless love, delighting in every moment spent with Matthew and Everley.
From an early age, Dan developed a passion for fashion, a passion that would shape a successful career spanning more than 40 years. He took tremendous pride in his work and was dedicated to providing the very best life possible for his family. His kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing or working alongside him.
Golf was Dan’s greatest pastime and source of enjoyment. The golf course was truly his second home during the summer months. He treasured the friendships he built through the game and looked forward to sharing stories, laughter, and a glass of wine at the 19th hole following a round. Some of his most cherished memories were made on the course alongside Susan, Ethan, and Zack, creating moments together that will be remembered for years to come.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered support, encouragement, and comfort throughout Dan’s illness. A special thank you is extended to his TJX family. Dan was deeply touched by the outpouring of love, kindness, and generosity shown by his colleagues and friends, and his family is forever grateful. We are truly blessed by the care and compassion that surrounded him during this difficult journey.
