On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Robert “Bertie” Savage peacefully passed away at home with family by his side. Born October 2, 1943, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he was the youngest of seven children. He is survived by his sister Marie (Denis) and brother Harry (late Lillian) in Ireland.
Robert was dearly loved by his wife Lois and his four children, Crystal (Troy), Richard (Kassandra), Rachael (Cody), and Heather (Nigel). A proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Ryker, Brynlee, Abigail, Gabby, Zach, and Dean—Robert will be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Ritson Road Alliance Church, 605 Ritson Rd. N., Oshawa. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., Oshawa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bertie’s memory may be made to the Toronto General Hospital Multi-Care Kidney Clinic or Ritson Road Alliance Church.
