Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home in Blackstock, George Schmidt passed away at the age of 90. He was the beloved husband of the late Terezija (née Penic).
George was a devoted father to Rosemarie and Kristina (Brian Krol), a loving grandfather to Amy, Natalie, Olivia, Owen, Maxine, Andrew, and Kevin, and a cherished great-grandfather to Isla and MacArthur. He was predeceased by his parents, Mathias and Rosina Schmidt, and will be fondly remembered by his siblings Heinrich (Gitta), Stefan (late Leni), and Josef (Irmi).
George’s family will forever remember his kind and caring nature, along with his love for his family and the cherished memories they shared.
