SELF, Marlene Frances Self

She of Walkerton passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Donald for 64 years and dear mother of Michelle Self (Kevin Mason) and Tim (Ashely) Self. Marlene was the proud grandma of Josh (Sarah), Emily, Shae-Lynn (Andy), Keyanna, and great-grandmother of Hailey, Casey, Ally-Mae, and Verena.

Marlene Frances Self will be remembered by her in-laws Harry Self, David (Ione) Self, Lloyd (Judy) Self, and Clare Doerr.

Predeceased by her son Larry, siblings Malinda Doerr, Florence (Frank) Lippert, Dorothy (Clarence) Brick, Gertrude (Tony) Brick, Jalette (Jack) Doyle, Joe Kunkel, her parents Ambrose and Frances Kunkel, and brother-in-law Doug (Shirley) Self.

Friends and relatives are invited to visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel presiding. Reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Walkerton.

Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
