SHANTZ, Eva Shantz

Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026 at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of Edgar Shantz. Loving mother of Arlene (Richard) Martin, the late Stuart Shantz (1989), Maynard (Vera) Shantz, and Alice (Oscar) Weber.

Eva Shantz will be missed by 19 grandchildren, sisters Minerva (the late Ivan, 2024) Weber, and Mary (Ammon) Weber, the Orvie Shantz family, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. Predeceased by her parents Isaiah and Lizzie Martin.

Visitation will take place from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, and from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the home of Edgar Shantz, 2444 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo.

A private family service will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the home, then to Conestogo Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
