Sharon Christine Robertson Obituary
Sharon Christine Robertson passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2026, at the age of 81, with her family beside her.
Sharon grew up in Richmond, British Columbia, where she met her first husband, Bob, and where her children were born. As a teenager, she was named Salmon Queen.
A devoted mother, Sharon baked elaborate cakes for school, supported her children’s activities, and even coached her son’s soccer team. She was equally present for her granddaughters, always ready to listen, share tea, or provide a ride to the airport.
Sharon and her husband, Garry, enjoyed travelling together, including cruises and trips to Cuba and Mexico. Mexico was a particular favourite, and they often travelled with friends Don, Val, Del, and Pat.
She is survived by her children, Tracey (Jim) Jensen and Richard (Debbie) Laidlaw; her stepson, Chris (Mallory) Robertson; grandchildren Kristy (Chris) Baxter, Amanda and Melanie Jensen, Taylor Laidlaw, and Seth and Norah Robertson; and great-grandchildren Ruby, Rozlyn, and Juniper Baxter.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Garry Robertson; her parents, Anna and Harry Martin; and her sister, Judy MacDonald. Her family thanks the staff at KGH and offers special appreciation to Kim T. for helping Sharon feel more comfortable.
