SHAW, Lorraine Shaw

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Rita Marie Shaw (née Lagace), who left us peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 91.

Born in New Brunswick to Peter and Agnes Lagace, Lorraine was a proud sister to her five siblings. From an early age, she was known for her kindness, strong spirit, and deep love for family, qualities that continued to define her throughout her life.

Together, Sheldon and Lorraine moved to Ontario with their children in 1966, where they built a life rooted in faith, family, and love – one filled with laughter, cherished traditions, and lasting memories.

Lorraine was the devoted and loving wife of Sheldon Shaw for 68 wonderful years. She was the proud mother of Daniel Shaw (Susan), Vaughn Shaw (Kendra), Peter Shaw (Lynn), Cindy Heber (Dennis), Troy Shaw, and Darren Shaw. Lorraine was also a deeply loved grandmother to Ryan, Amanda, Jordan, Steffan, Brad, Katelyn, Madison, Connor, and Devin, and a proud great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Lorraine will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was always beautifully dressed, with a timeless sense of style and a sparkle that made her shine in every room. She also had a special talent for bringing people together with her delicious home-cooked meals and homemade treats — always made with love and shared with open arms. Her kindness, care, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at De Stefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, ON L1J 0C7 on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 12:00 pm where family and friends will gather to honour and share memories of Lorraine’s beautiful life.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
