Shiu Kuen Tse was born in Kaiping, Guangdong, China, on June 6, 1937. She immigrated to Vancouver, where she worked alongside her husband in raising their family, making it her home for 56 years.
She died on October 1, 2026, at the age of 89. A funeral service was held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel in Vancouver, with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby.
